Growing up and listening to various genres of music such as reggae, calypso, soca & rap/hip hop music, there was no doubt in G's mind that he was destined to make music professionally. G Da Great realized his dream of becoming a famous MC after spending countless hours in the studio with high school friend Thomas “Mellow” Ryan. His eyes were soon opened to the power of spoken word, and his love for hip hop music eventually became a reality. Since then G has been building his confidence and stage presence, and has been feeding people powerful music. These acquired qualities, in addition to his clever use of word play and slick delivery, have allowed G DA GREAT to elevate above the competition, providing his fans with conscious hip hop – music with a message. The Great Rapper is making his mark on the New York scene, winning several live music competitions, performing at venues all across the city, and working to complete his first studio album.
